To Help
We’re always looking for extra hands and generous hearts to support our men and the daily operations of The Haven. Volunteers are essential to creating a caring, consistent environment where hope and healing can thrive.
Whether you have an hour a week or a day a month, your time matters. From preparing meals and sorting donations to mentoring and helping with transportation, every role contributes to the transformation happening at The Haven.
At The Haven, there’s a role for everyone. From serving breakfast or dinner, to helping with transportation or facility needs, to offering mentorship or prayer—we welcome individuals, families, and groups who want to invest their time where it matters most. Every hour you give brings encouragement and structure to the lives of men working hard to rebuild.
Your presence reminds our men that they’re not forgotten—and that this community believes in their potential. Volunteers are a vital part of what makes The Haven more than just a shelter. If you’re ready to give your time, your skills, or simply your presence, we would love to welcome you into our mission.
If you’re ready to make a difference and give back in a meaningful way, we’d love to serve alongside you. He was also hired by Winthrop University and is working in the cafeteria full time. After leaving The Haven and at his exit interview, Derrick was very thankful and grateful for all the support at The Haven had given to him; he said “all he needed was someone to back him up
I learned so much about what it means to be a man at the Haven. I came into the Haven a shy person with no drive, but today I can say that I am a better man and a well-rounded person. Dwight not only excelled in the Haven program, but with the support and guidance of the Haven staff, Dwight was able to move into his own apartment. The Haven staff pulled together to provide Dwight with furniture and other needed items for his new apartment.
Thanks to the support of the Haven staff and the Executive Director, Andrew graduated his program and received his CDL (Commercial Driving License). Andrew is presently driving Tractor Trailer Trucks with the hopes of owning his own truck in the next couple of years.
